The things we get asked most.

When will Licensly launch?
Summer 2026. We're currently in closed beta with a small group of multi-state therapists, using their feedback to refine the core features — renewal tracking, AI CEU parsing, and the new-state application wizard. Waitlist members will get access in waves, earliest-first, starting a few weeks before the public launch.
Does Licensly replace my EHR?
No — and that's intentional. Licensly doesn't touch your appointments, notes, billing, or any client data. Keep using SimplePractice, TheraNest, or whatever fits your practice. We stay in our lane — your licenses, your CEUs, your renewals. That also means no HIPAA paperwork, no BAAs, and no switching cost.
How does the CEU parsing actually work?
Upload any certificate — PDF, photo, or screenshot. Our AI reads the provider, course title, approved categories, hours, and date, then cross-references the requirements for every state you hold a license in. You can review and edit anything before it's logged. In our beta testing, parsing takes about 3 seconds per certificate.
What about the Counseling Compact — won't it make this unnecessary?
Eventually, for some. The Counseling Compact only started operating in September 2025 with three states, and full rollout will take years. LMFTs have no compact on the horizon at all, and even in compact states, CEU rules still vary. Licensly stays useful across every realistic compact scenario.
Is my data safe?
Yes. We store license numbers, renewal dates, and the certificates you upload — all encrypted at rest and in transit. We don't store any client information because we don't ask for any. You can export or delete your account at any time. We never sell, share, or use your data for advertising.
Do you support my state or my license type?
At launch we'll support LPCs (under every state name: LMHC, LCPC, etc.), LCSWs, and LMFTs across all 50 states and DC. If you hold another license type — psychologist, physical therapist, or a related profession — join the waitlist anyway and let us know. We're planning to expand to adjacent licensed professions through 2026–2027.
What does joining the waitlist get me?
